Profile
Currently based in Brooklyn, Rebecca Verrill is a recent graduate of the 4+1 Publishing and Marketing program at Emerson College, receiving both her BA and MA degrees in 4.5 years. She has previously worked as the Marketing & Publicity Intern for Wednesday Books & Saturday Books at Macmillan Publishers, and has additional experience at Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins Publishers, Candlewick Press, W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. and Lived Places Publishing. In her time as an intern and interim second, Rebecca has worked on a number of bestselling titles, ranging in achievements like The New York Times, Sunday Times, and Goodreads Choice Awards to starred reviews from Kirkus, School Library Journal, and Publishers Weekly.
Alongside her ever-growing collection of colorful winter scarves, Rebecca’s defining traits include her deep love of playlist-making, proper data collection, and the book club alumni network she runs (not in that order.) She is a very passionate advocate for proper representation in the marketing and publishing industries and can often be found walking briskly around the city, muttering about the local tourists.
